Jessica Craig-Martin Limited Edition

2008 ART SHOW
Celebrating its twentieth year, the 2008 Art Show, organized by the Art Dealers Association of America to benefit Henry Street Settlement, again surpassed expectations as a major fundraising opportunity for the Settlement. Proceeds from the 2008 Gala Preview, run-of-show ticket sales, the silent auction of an Alex Katz painting and a George Condo drawing, as well as the sale of a limited-edition Jessica Craig-Martin print totaled almost $1.5 million, funds which will provide essential support to Henry Street's social service, health and arts programs.
The 2008 Art Show, which ran at the Park Avenue Armory from February 21 through 25, received generous support from lead underwriter, Lehman Brothers, and from Fairfield Greenwich Group. Alexandra Lebenthal, Kathy and Richard S. Fuld, Jr. and Byron and Anita Volz Wien were this year's Co-Chairs. Art world notables Dr. Mary Schmidt Campbell, Agnes Gund and Daniel Shapiro and Kathleen and Roland Augustine served as Honorary Co-Chairs. Henry Street board members, some of whom served on this year's steering committee, greeted ticket holders, gallery guests and representatives of thirteen Corporate Benefactors at the Gala Preview on February 20.
Including the preview gala, more than 10,000 people attended the show.
