Presentation Translated Simultaneously into Spanish, Cantonese
January 13, 2012 - By Ryan Wenzel

Henry Street's Good Companions Senior Center was jam packed on January 12 as more than 70 seniors gathered to hear a presentation about elder abuse presented by the New York County District Attorney’s Office. Elizabeth Loewy, the office’s Elder Abuse Unit Attorney-in-Charge, taught attendees the definitions of elder abuse, and how to identify and report it.
Attendees who were not English-speakers were given headphones through which they were able to hear the presentation as it was simultaneously translated into Spanish and Cantonese.
Reporters from The World Journal and Sinovision Television were on hand to cover the story.
