No Gift Is Too Small

WDC Juan, a 34-year-old New Yorker, was abruptly laid off from his job of 10 years at the worst possible time—his wife was pregnant with their first child. Worried, Juan walked into Henry Street's Workforce Development Center. After completing our intensive—and free—program, we placed Juan in a job with a future at an environmentally-friendly building supplier. Juan can now support his young family.

During the recession, we are helping more people than ever: Over the past year, demand for employment services at our workforce program has increased by 32 percent.

Henry Street has also been hurt by the recession. Many of our supporters have decreased their contributions. But please know that any support is much more important than no support at all. You can help by giving at whatever level you can. Your gift, of course, is tax deductible.

Thank you for being a friend to Henry Street.
— Verona Middleton-Jeter, Executive Director
