The Parent Center at Henry Street Settlement welcomes all parents experiencing questions, concerns and challenges in their parenting roles. At The Parent Center we take a holistic life-balance approach which focuses on nurturing the “self” role as well as the meaningful roles of father, grandparent and family, as roles transform throughout the life cycle. Our unique approach encourages positive growth and change for the parent as their child transitions throughout birth, childhood, adolescence and young adulthood. The Parent Center’s multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural staff is trained in health, behavioral health, life-span development and wellness and includes an occupational therapist, psychologist, clinical social workers and behavioral health care interns from the fields of occupational therapy, nursing, social work and psychology.
