Henry Street's two Early Childhood Centers provide a positive and safe environment that supports and enhances the social, physical, intellectual, creative and emotional development of young children. Teachers implement the Creative Curriculum, which fosters the development of a positive self-concept and cognitive skills, with a focus on the creative process, integrating music, movement, drama, and arts and crafts. Both centers are licensed by the New York City Department of Health and meet the requirements of all regulatory agencies.

| Located at 301 Henry Street, this center cares for 95 children between the ages of two and five. Services are available in English, Spanish and Chinese, and fees are charged on a sliding scale according to family income per the Agency for Child Development (ACD) guidelines. The center is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sandy Lo Kwok serves as the Administrative Assistant Director. |

Henry Street Settlement Urban Family School |

The Urban Family School provides full-day childcare services for children who reside in the Urban Family Center, Henry Street's temporary shelter for homeless families. Funded by the Administration for Children's Services (ACS), the school strives to ease the impact of homelessness with a range of therapeutic and enrichment activities. Elizabeth Rosa serves as the Assistant Director.

Henry Street Settlement Universal Pre-Kindergarten | The 301 Day Care Center offers Universal Pre-Kindergarden (UPK). UPK classes meet daily from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. All children who turned four by Dec. 31, 2009, are eligible to apply for UPK. Families who are also eligible for our ACS-funded day care program will be able to have child care for the whole day, around these UPK hours. |
