Does Henry Street offer computer classes? Henry Street only teaches computers as an integral component of other programs. For example, after-school programs and writing classes have computer lessons woven into the curriculum.
Does Henry Street offer individual tutoring? Henry Street offers individual tutoring to high school students throught our Expanded Horizons program.
Are Henry Street's programs free? Many programs are free, but some have fees. Please inquire regarding the respective program you are interested in. Some financial assistance is available.
Henry Street Settlement Day Care
What are the requirements for my child to attend Henry Street Settlement Day Care? Henry Street Settlement Day Care accepts income-eligible children from between the ages of two and four. All children must have a completed physical exam and appropriate immunizations before admission to the program.
How do I register my child for Henry Street Settlement Day Care? Families interested in enrolling their children in Henry Street Settlement Day Care must contact Linda Flores, Director of Childhood Services at (212) 254-3100 x235.
Is there a waiting list for Henry Street Settlement Day Care? There is a waiting list for certain groups and children are admitted to Henry Street Settlement Day Care as vacancies occur. However, there is some priority order for the waiting list based on family need and circumstances, therefore, first-come/first-served is not always the case.
