Community Events

L.E.S. does it best! Come together as a community this summer with Henry Street Settlement. Bring the entire family for exciting activities, live performances, roller skating, snacks, and more!

Our two Summer Fun Saturday events will provide fun and resources for the whole family. Activities include a magic show, carnival games, face painting, a live African drum performance, and more!

July 9 – Little Flower Park – Madison Street between Clinton & Jefferson – Noon – 4:00 p.m.

July 23 – Dry Dock Park  – East 10th Street & Ave D – Noon – 4:00 p.m.

Roll your way right into summer because roller skating at Henry Street is back! Dress in your best ’70s/’80s themed outfit. Free snacks and giveaways. Skates and music from Skaterobics. Free skate rentals are first-come-first-served; you must present a valid form of I.D. and sign a rental waiver. If you have your own skates, bring them! 

August 6 – Henry M. Jackson Park AKA 12 Park – Noon – 6:00 p.m.

August 20 – Dry Dock Park – East 10th & Ave D – Noon – 6:00 p.m.

A family-friendly event including free refreshments, games, storytelling, a magic show, live performances, and DJ’s.

August 27 – Community Day – On Henry Street – Noon – 5:00 p.m.

Participants will learn the techniques needed to be a standout baseball player:
