Senior Services

Henry Street offers a wide variety of programs designed to promote the independence and well being of the growing population of culturally diverse seniors on the Lower East Side.   Many of our elderly neighbors are frail and vulnerable, and isolated because of low-income, a limited ability to speak English and a reluctance to seek the assistance to which they are entitled.   All senior services are free of charge and available in Spanish, Chinese, and English.

Among the services offered for seniors at Henry Street are NORC/Vladeck Cares, Healthy Senior Select Meals on Wheels, the Good Companions Senior Center, the Senior Companion Program and Home Care/Housekeeping.
