NYC Healthy Relationship Training Academy Honors Henry Street with Award

The NYC Healthy Relationship Training Academy honored Henry Street Settlement with its 2012 Educator’s Choice Award. The Academy, an initiative of the Mayor’s Office to Combat Domestic Violence, presented the award on February 28.
Henry Street was selected for the award based on how well the 500 clients in the Settlement’s youth employment programs participate in the workshops they attend, as well as the number of workshops Henry Street hosts.
The Academy offers workshops, each facilitated by two peer educators, on topics such as dating violence and healthy relationships for adolescents, young adults and parents. The Academy also offers training for employees of organizations who work with adolescents and young adults in these areas.
