CUNY Rising Alliance
Call to Action Meeting – Demand free, high-quality education for all CUNY students.
Wednesday, November 16th, 2016
6:30 p.m.
BMCC, Richard Harris Terrace
199 Chambers St.
New York, NY 10007

A college education is the surest path to economic opportunity, intellectual fulfillment, and personal growth. It’s a critical public investment and a prerequisite for narrowing inequality. For a half-million students a year, the path to a better life starts at CUNY—The City University of New York.

But CUNY tuition has increased 35% in the last six years and the quality of a CUNY education is at risk. After years of underfunding, CUNY is in danger of becoming an institution that reinforces economic and racial disparities. CUNY Rising is advocating for a Students’ Bill of Rights for ALL New Yorkers. Expanded Horizons will be supporting this effort and would like our alumni attending CUNY schools to come out with us on that day to support as well. If you are interested in attending, please RSVP at See this flyer for more information.
