About Our Partnership with Stacks+Joules

In partnership with Stacks+Joules, the Building Automation Systems program is structured around three core areas: 1) lighting controls and an introduction to the Python coding language, 2) heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and heat pump fundamentals, and 3) systems integration using Niagara 4 software.

Participants gain in-demand technical skills for careers in building automation and indoor environmental management, combined with professional development, job readiness, and other supportive services. Participants can earn industry-recognized certifications, including the Lighting Controls Association credential and the EPA 608 Universal Technician certification. The program develops local untapped talent while building pathways into high-growth technology and clean energy sectors.

We have a 90% placement rate in paid internships. This hands-on approach has launched alumni into roles like energy analyst and BAS technician at leading employers in the field, including TEC Systems, Albireo Energy, STRATCO, LIF3, Willdan, Buro Happold, and more.

Henry Street Settlement is an equal opportunity employer/program. Auxiliary aids and services are available upon request to individuals with disabilities.
