Mock Interviews with Jobseekers (Hybrid)
Event Description: A mock interview is an emulation of a job interview used for training jobseekers on how to interview effectively. This is a conversational exercise, designed to resemble a real interview, to provide important experience and feedback to potential candidates seeking employment. Volunteers play the role of employers interviewing candidates for a job position. This event may be hosted by either our Job Essentials Training (JET) program–our primary workforce development program for clients from all over New York City–or our ESOL Level Two class, a group of English-language learners who are actively seeking employment.
Number of Volunteers: 5-15
Preferred Days/ Times: JET–Wednesdays 2:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.; ESOL LV2–Mon – Thursdays 10:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. 

Building English Conversation Skills with ESOL (In-Person) 
Event Description: The ESOL-Job Readiness Program at Henry Street’s Workforce Development Center provides English language learners (ages 18 and up) with opportunities to improve their skills while preparing to find a job. During this event, volunteers practice conversational English with Level One ESOL students, a group of English-language learners who are new to the language.  
Number of Volunteers: 5-10
Preferred Dates/Times: 
Beginner: Mon/Wed 3:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. , Tues/Thurs 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. 
Intermediate: Tues/Wed/Thurs 3:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. 
(Please note this program goes on break from end of June to mid-July)
